LINE Yahoo is actively promoting research and development related to the diverse data processing involved in its various internet services. One area that has recently gained attention is multimodal AI. A characteristic of modern AI is the foundational models that exhibit versatility, regardless of the task or domain. Such general-purpose methods represent a paradigm shift in traditional model development and show potential in solving long-tail issues that previously could not be addressed due to unfavorable ROI, thereby achieving further improvements in service quality. The talk will include some recent progress, its applications, and prospects within our company using real-world examples.
