Empowering 5G networks with open source projects. O-RAN, ONAP, Nephio and more.
5G networks present new challenges in network complexity. This requires new thinking about how network elements are built, deployed and automated.
Open source communities are rising to this challenge and developing projects that bring the necessary innovation to 5G. In this session Ranny will provide an overview of several such projects related to 5G. He will also discuss the "5G Super Blueprint" which is a Linux Foundation led initiative aimed at providing a reference implementation for an open-source based 5G end-to-end network.
